As part of the Costain/Skanska £250m redevelopment of Paddington Station Kilkern provided skilled labour for the enabling works.
Paddington was the first of Crossrail’s Central London station redevelopments.Paddington had to be awarded early as it is on the critical path with tunnel boring machines due to pass through the largely complete box.
At peak Kilkern had up to 25 workers on this project installing deep drainage and also associated groundworks. Our workers were responsible for diverting existing utilities and also installing new mains.
Workers supplied included, tunnel miners, Deep Drainage Pipelayers, Groundworkers, Kerblayers, Dumper Drivers, Concretors, Banksmen/woman Machine Drivers, Welders, Steel fixers, Shuttering Carpenters, Confined Spaces operatives.
