Kilkern team back Christmas fundraiser for Cash for Kids

Kilkern is proud to be supporting a fantastic mission to improve the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.

After colleagues at Galliford Try Local Authority North made the commitment to walk between their offices in Halifax and Stoke, to raise money for national charity Cash for Kids, the Kilkern team felt it had to get on board.

Answering the call to take on the gruelling challenge are Kilkern’s Brad Creevy, Dean Quinn and Josh Riley. Setting out on 5th December 2024, they will spend two days walking the 82 mile route, visiting Galliford Try’s site offices between Halifax TCF and Stoke-on-Trent TCF to raise funds and collect Christmas presents to donate along the way.

They face a long, difficult section across the Peak District where, on top of covering the distance, it’s likely that they will have to deal with the worst the British weather can throw at them. But while it may be tough, it probably doesn’t compare with some of the challenges some children and families face this year.

The funds raised will improve the lives of many affected by poverty, illness, neglect or with additional needs.

Kilkern is also sponsoring the walk and the team hopes that friends and colleagues will be able to add their support by donating on the LA North Cash for Kids Just Giving page.

Every penny raised will help make a difference this Christmas.
